Volunteers and Visitors
Parents are welcome in our school after the first few weeks of school. We welcome and need your support in a variety of ways. To be able to volunteer in any way, you must fill out a background check online. All visitors and volunteers must check in at the office (YOU MUST BRING YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE EVERY TIME) and receive a volunteer sticker before coming to the classroom. If your child is having a difficult time leaving you, you may need to wait several weeks before coming to help.
Entrance to the building
When you enter the school, please come in through the main entrance. All other entrances to the building will remain locked during the day. Always stop at the office to sign in and get a visitor's pass. For the safety of our students, anyone not wearing a pass will be asked to return to the office.
Change in transportation
If there is a change in transportation arrangements or in the designated caretaker, please write the teacher a note or send an email. Without a note, your child will be sent home in the usual manner. If your dismissal plans change after lunchtime please call the office so they can let the teacher know.
Picking up during the school day
If you need to pick up your child during the school day, they must be signed out in the office. The office staff will call the classroom to dismiss your child. YOU MUST BRING YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD. Students must be picked up prior to 2:30 for early dismissal.
